That leads me to today. I took more than a year to let myself live my life and not create content or take photo or video for any specific platform. Even though I LOVED doing it for so long, and love the creativity I got from it, I knew I needed time to allow myself to develop my brain, and develop what I even believed about my style, opinions, and creative ideas.

This blog is my central hub. Everything I create, I create for this blog, just for me, as a digital journal and a corner of the internet that’s all mine. Anything I post on IG / YouTube or wherever, is content derived from a blog post on this blog. I don’t want to create content to get numbers or views or clicks or anything on any specific platform. This is just a side hobby for me as a creative outlet. I have curated my wardrobe and space SOOO carefully within the last couple years from not getting free stuff. I’ve been collecting clothing pieces, jewelry, antiques, and ephemera that resonate with me, so that will be the basis of this blog.

about me & my corner

Hi! I am Bradi, and I am a content creator who has gone through many, many phases.

I started making content in 2014 as a “New Year’s resolution” of sorts. I was inspired by the flatlay outfit styling other users were assembling on Instagram (back then there was an explore page that had allll of the most popular posts on it), and knew I could possibly start creating my own. I started January 1, 2014 taking photos of outfits I styled on my bedroom floor. I was obsessed, and evolved my account to different types of photos & different formats. It was just so much fun to have a space to express my personal style and showcase my favorite clothing. After a while I started to get noticed by brands, and this was in the very early days of influencer marketing, so getting a box of clothing sent to me for FREE was mind-boggling to me and everyone around me.

Over time I grew up and continued to evolve my content around the various lenses in which I was seeing the world and my style. I will say, I got stuck many many many times. Social media is ultimately a numbers game, and as someone who started building an account and growing right away, and someone who was still very much developing her brain, the rejections and loss in likes/followers/attention hit me hard. Algorithms were changing, more accounts were being made, there was content absolutely everywhere. Competition was fierce, and I couldn’t keep up. Eventually I realized I didn’t really want to.

I stopped posting on Instagram regularly in about 2022. I got a full time job and was nurturing the slow build of my personal community. I moved from Instagram to TikTok and started making super quick videos of outfits. I loved that too and built another following, but TikTok consumption became sort of like poison for me. Video after video after video after video. Opinion after opinion after opinion. Creative videos I was jealous I could never make, and opinions I thought I also needed to agree with. I got locked out of my account for some reason in 2024 and I just gave up honestly. I needed the break anyway.
